Dear Brothers, Friends and Interested Parties:

Welcome to the website of America’s first national fraternity for gay men of color. We are an organization of young professional men who unselfishly contribute to our community in hopes of improving social and civic relationships throughout the country.

Delta Phi Upsilon Fraternity was the original idea of Trevor A Charles, and with the assistance of four gentlemen: Hamilton Barnes, Victor Cohen, Kenneth LeGrone and Ronald Powell, it became a reality in 1985. We hope that their inspiration continue to empower young men throughout the nation as it has already attracted over 300 members.

Over the past two decades, Delta Phi Upsilon has stood the test of time and continues to reign superior in spite of its challenges. We have evolved into an organization of many faces and talents with a similar vision, “Destined for Greatness.”

Our programs of Education, Political Empowerment, History & Heritage, Health Awareness and Membership Expansion continue to be the center of our mission as we strive to empower young gay men of color to be more comfortable in society.
